Position Description/Responsibilities:
 
This position will work directly with Public Safety cluster senior executive and executive staff in the implementation of multi-faceted, high visibility IT infrastructure transformation projects. Daily activities will include but not be limited to:
 
• Defining and managing project scope, schedule and budget for infrastructure transformation projects.
• Managing project teams in the development of business cases, requirements gathering, business and technical documentation, testing and deployment planning,   risk mitigation strategies and project status reporting for infrastructure transformation projects.
• Acting as manager to a staff oriented in matrix management techniques, including negotiating with senior management on resource allocations, project responsibilities and tasking as well as mentoring and training resources as necessary.
• Communicating project status to team members as well as management including project status presentations to executives both inside and outside the Public Safety cluster.
• Functioning as a facilitator to clarify business and technical requirements which cross project team boundaries.
• Identifying project risks and dependencies and providing implementation alternatives to mitigate project risk related to scope, schedule and budget.
• Possessing strong written and verbal communication skills.

Mandatory Requirements:
 
Project Manager
5-7 years experience in overseeing projects comprised of multiple deliverables.  Delegating and coordinating of tasks, also responsible for project status, meetings, scope changes and issues.

The following Requested(Desirable) Qualifications are not mandatory and candidates that do not fit all of the following,  are still strongly  encouraged to apply.
 
    1.  College level degree, or Certification in Project Management.
    2.  Minimum 60 months experience with multi entity project teams in the development
         and successful implementation of IT infrastructure transformation projects.
    3.  Minimum of 24 months experience working with High availability and performance 
         improvement projects consisting of vendors, staff from multiple organizations and 
         customers.
    4.  Minimum of 24 months experience with IT transformation projects spanning multiple
         entities, including risk mitigation strategies associated with ensuring
         transformation success.
    5.  Minimum of 12 months experience with email consolidation, storage consolidation
         or network consolidation projects.
