Position Description/Responsibilities:
This position will support the use of automated time and attendance within a web application by maintaining employee schedules, accruals, time-sheets and payroll exception information.  This individual will be expected to provide expertise and participation in the following activities:

  • Train OMH facility personnel staff on Time and Attendance web application slated for implementation at 14 Psychiatric Centers in the next several months.
  • Develop and execute test plans for all code changes and builds while ensuring NYS Time and Attendance regulations are considered.
  • Use TOAD to create SQL queries for Ad-Hoc reporting and to investigate and trouble shoot issues.
  • Create and maintain all documentation, including user guides, technical documentation, on-line help text and defect recording using ADOBE professional, MS Word and MS Publisher.
  • Respond to HP Service Center Help Desk calls assigned to HR group.

Position Requirements/Technical Skills:
Mandatory Requirements:

5-7 years experience in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Programmer. 
The following Requested(Desirable) Qualifications are not mandatory and candidates that do not fit all of the following, are still strongly  encouraged to apply.

  1. 60 months Experience as a trainer of web-based computer applications.
  2. 60 months Experience using MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access) MS Publisher,and Adobe Professional.
  3. 18 months Experience with data and analysis specifically working with the interpretation and application of the Attendance Rules for Employees in New York State Departments and Institutions.
  4. 60 months Experience providing level 2 technical support in an enterprise environment serving at least 500 users.
  5. 24 months Experience working with HIPAA requirements.
  6. 18 months Experience working with Oracle 10G/11i.
  7. 18 months Experience working with TOAD.
  8. 18 months Experience working with HP Service Center.
  9. Bachelors Degree.
